LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON -- A woman was seriously injured Saturday when she fell close to 50 feet in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Authorities say the woman was rock climbing in an area known as Becky's Wall around 12:30 p.m. when she slipped and fell. Other climbers in the area helped lower the woman to the ground while her climbing partner called 911.

The woman was taken to Intermountain Medical Center with injuries to her head and collar bone. Her climbing partner was also taken to the hospital with just minor injuries. Both are expected to be OK.

Crews say the woman was harnessed in, possibly saving her life.
