(KSL News) -- A woman was sentenced to prison today for killing her two-year old daughter.

Wendy Bullock was ordered to spend 1-5 years in prison. But first she'll go back to the custody of the health department who will keep her in the hospital for up to 18 months.
She pleaded guilty to child abuse homicide earlier this year. A judge has ruled Bullock was mentally ill when she strangled her daughter to death.
Police found Bullock along I-70 near Moab in December 2004. She was beat up and suicidal. Her two-and-a-half year old daughter was dead in the back seat.
