WEST VALLEY CITY -- A driver tried to flee the scene after an auto pedestrian accident -- but she didn't get far.
A West Valley City police officer was waiting at an intersection at 3500 South and 3200 West when he saw the woman hit a teen boy with her car and then drive away.
The officer pursued and pulled the woman over over.
The driver then told the officer she had no idea what had happened.
"According to her statement she didn't realize she actually hit somebody, and we are investigating if that was true," said Lt. Dale Brophy with the West Valley City Police Department.
The teen suffered minor injuries.
The driver could now face hit-and-run charges.
