MIDVALE -- A suspicious bottle forced the Utah Transit Authority to close the TRAX station at 7200 South for a while Monday afternoon.
UTA says a transit officer noticed a Gatorade bottle stuffed into a power box on the TRAX platform. Further inspection revealed it had a copper wire coming out of it.
The officer called the Midvale Fire Department and bomb squad, who determined the bottle was harmless.
Officials do think it was made to look like a bomb, likely as a prank. They are now looking for the person behind it.
