(KSL News) -- A former Layton Junior High teacher has been sentenced to at least 45 days in jail.
Kenneth McQuade pled no contest to charges of third-degree felony child-abuse earlier this year. The charges stem from an incident three years ago when a 12-year old student claimed McQuade touched her inappropraitely.
At his sentencing McQuade said he entered the plea to avoid the possibility of more jail time if found guilty at trial.
