PROVO -- A man accused of trying to rape a woman as she walked along the Provo River Trail pleaded guilty to reduced charges.
The Deseret News reports that Michael Workman's plea includes a caveat that he is mentally ill, which means he will undergo a mental health evaluation before he is sentenced.
Workman, 26, attacked the woman last October, placing a chemical-soaked rag over her face to try and subdue her.
She was able to get away and call police.
