(London-AP) -- The British Broadcasting Corporation says one member of a T-V news crew is dead and another is hurt after a land mine explosion in northern Iraq.
Kaveh Golestan, an Iranian freelance cameraman for the B-B-C, died instantly today when he stepped on the mine as he climbed out of his car.
A producer was injured by the explosion, while two others in the crew were unhurt.
They were part of a four-man B-B-C team filming at a town in the southern part of the Kurdish-controlled area of Iraq.
Golestan, a veteran cameraman and photographer, had worked for the B-B-C for about three years.
During his career, he also worked for Associated Press Television News and Time magazine.
