It's that time of year again when many people engage in what is fondly referred to as "spring cleaning." Spring cleaning generally encompasses many less-than-desirable tasks, like cleaning out the garage, doing yard work and cleaning the windows.

Through his company Squeaky Clean Windows, Eric Wimmer is seeking to make window cleaning one less spring cleaning chore. In fact, Eric's company is set up to do the task for you. Squeaky Clean Windows offers a service plan where service crews will come to your house every three months to wash the windows, even alternating between outside and inside. You receive a free cleaning with every service plan. Plans can be customized to meet your needs whether you prefer weekly, monthly or annually.

Eric's father is a janitorial supplier and the second generation owner of his company. Eric knew a lot about janitorial supplies, including the best cleaners, which is what sparked his interest in window washing. He purchased the correct types of tools to do the job efficiently and quickly and started the window washing business in 2001, but it wasn't until 2005 that Squeaky Clean Windows was officially incorporated.

Over the years, the company has diversified. In 2004, Eric added Christmas lighting to his repertoire and now has around 300 homes for which his company hangs lights every year, providing free materials for preseason customers in September. Growth has come quickly and steadily after Eric made an advertising push in 2006; that's also when he started hiring skilled technicians. Squeaky Clean Windows has doubled in size every year since then — no small feat, especially in the current economic climate. He also offers a heating cable component that features a wiring installation service to prevent ice buildup that can cause water to melt and leak into your home.

Squeaky Clean Windows is headquartered in Ogden and already has a loyal customer base. Eric plans to expand it across the Wasatch Front and further.
