(KSL TV) For the first time since the disappearance of their daughter, the Smart family is openly criticizing the work of Salt Lake police.

The copyright article also quotes Elizabeth's father Ed Smart as saying he is frustrated with the police's dismissal of Mitchell as a suspect.

A spokesman for the police department says that he understands the family's frustration -- and that they're actively following the lead.
