KEARNS -- Police are looking for a man who used a bizarre weapon when robbing a Kearns 7-Eleven store Thursday morning.
Officers say the man entered the 7-Eleven at 4637 S. 5415 West just before 7:00 and threw a large piece of cinderblock at the female clerk. The suspect then climbed over the counter and threatened her again with the rock -- demanding money from the till.
"He was threatening her and indicating he was going to hurt her if she didn't give him the information about how to open the till," said Lt. Don Hutson with the Unified Police Department.
The man got away with a small amount of cash. The clerk suffered minor injuries.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Detective Brown at 801-743-5863.
