FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- Residents can no longer bring 12-packs of beer to the Davis County Fair Park -- the limit is now one can per person.
Davis County Commissioners approved the new policy yesterday at a meeting. The policy states that Davis County will no longer sell alcohol at the Fair Park. However, people can carry one can of beer into events.
Officials say the policy was implemented after reviewing the lack of revenue from selling beer at the fairgrounds.
The new policy does grant an exception for groups that book the fairgrounds for private events. Instead of the county serving alcohol, groups can hire an approved caterer to distribute alcohol.
