RAINING THREES — To those who live in the past, Happy Father’s Day.
And to those who live in the future, happy NBA draft day.
Speaking of basketball, a former Utah college star was doing what he does best over the weekend, as well as a ridiculous throw by Manny Machado on Father’s Day weekend.
Jimmer Fredette makes 92 3-pointers for charity
The former BYU star was back in Utah with his Jimmerosity Foundation over the weekend, and he took the time to have a 3-point shootout to raise money for the Heritage Schools, a nonprofit residential treatment center for adolescents based in Provo.
And Fredette proved one thing: he’s still got it … if “it” is shooting 92 percent from 3-point range uncontestedly and with very little effort.

The video appeared across national media, including SI.com, CBS Sports, USA Today and the New York Post, as well as the Deseret News and now KSL.com. Maybe it will help Fredette, who went to the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft, get back into the league.
Fredette spent the past season playing for the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association, where he averaged 37.6 points and 4.2 assists while shooting better than 50 percent per game for the Yao Ming-owned franchise.
Indiana clothing store gives away all Paul George gear after Yahoo! Sports report
A lot of Utah Jazz fans are concerned about the status of Gordon Hayward as he enters an option year this summer, with rumors of Boston and other teams looking to snag him as a free agent.
But it could be worse, Jazz fans: You could already know your star is leaving — like with Paul George and the Pacers.
George has reportedly already decided to become a free agent in 2018 and sign with the Lakers, as first reported by Yahoo! Sports.
Indiana clothing store The Shop Indy isn’t taking it well.
It gets better, though: They sold out in two hours.
Now that’s good business … we think.
Proof that Manny Machado is not human
A lot of Major League Baseball players can throw a perfect strike.
But how many of them can do it from deep in foul territory to the first baseman’s glove?
At least one: Orioles third baseman Manny Machado.
