PLAYOFF TIME — The final week of the college football regular season had a lot to offer: longtime rivalries; playoff hopes; and one last swan song for more than half the electorate that won’t be participating in the postseason.
Here are some moments that made us laugh, smile and chuckle during rivalry week.
Dallin Leavitt is the king of the world
In case you haven’t heard, former BYU safety Dallin Leavitt made his return to Provo with Utah State in Saturday night’s 28-10 Aggie loss.
Leavitt played well, finishing with four tackles and an interception of former teammate Taysom Hill. After the game, he had nothing but compliments for Hill, who left the game early in the fourth quarter with a hyperextended elbow.
“When I was at BYU, Taysom was somebody who looked out for me and helped me a lot,” Leavitt said. “He’s just as good of a person as he is a player. I respect Taysom a ton and wish him to get healthy.”
One BYU fan had some fun with Leavitt’s interception and subsequent celebration.
Leavitt is a great football player, and we wish him the best in his future, as we do all in-state college football players.
But never let go, Dallin, never let go.
One very important call
What do you do when your husband wins "The Game" and helps Ohio State virtually guarantee a spot in the College Football Playoff? Whatever you want, if you are Shelly Meyer, who interrupted his postgame press conference for an important announcement.
When your wife calls, you answer.

Here’s hoping the former Utah coach didn’t forget the milk.
Cincinnati pulls off trick play for the ages
It’s been a rough season for Cincinnati football.
But before the Bearcats wrapped up their 3-9 campaign, they flashed style in an eventual 40-37 loss to Tulsa.
Quarterback Hayden Moore took the snap and lateraled to tight end Tyler Cogswell — while the entire offensive line fell down.
Cogswell then tossed a pass back to Moore, who ran in a 29-yard score behind the same line that fell down in front of him.
