SALT LAKE CITY — It has been two weeks since Kobe Bryant has retired from basketball and he’s already become a prop for Ellen DeGeneres.

Ellen involves Kobe in a prank with a doctor where Ellen dictates what Kobe has to tell the doctor, all while hidden cameras capture the interaction. To Kobe’s credit, his acting is great as he describes the massive amount of sweat he produces during a game.

“It starts on my left cheek — my buttocks,” he tells the unsuspecting doctor. “Starts dripping down to my knee and drips back up. It just keeps going up, up, up to my ear. Wraps around my neck, then from there it’s like a shower. I’m soaking wet. Just drenched.”

Surprisingly the doctor isn’t too freaked out by what Kobe is telling her and takes it in good stride.

Kobe also sat down to talk with Ellen in his first post-retirement interview, which can be seen above.

That cheerleader look though

The University of Washington released a flyer on Facebook Wednesday advising prospective cheerleaders about the various do’s and don’ts of cheerleading for the university — the cheerleader “tryout look.” The flyer, which included do’s like “bronze, beachy glow” and “girl about town lipstick” ignited a controversy Wednesday.

The university released a statement later saying it had withdrawn the flyer “in response to a high volume of student questions.”

“Some of the details and descriptions provided were inconsistent with the values of the UW spirit program and department of athletics,” the university said in a statement. “Athletic department officials have reinforced the values of the programs to UW spirit leadership, and look forward to an equitable and diverse tryout process for interested students.”

According to NBC News, other universities around the country have produced similar flyers recently without stirring controversy.

But what about the floods?

In case you didn’t know, much of Houston has been under water the last couple weeks. Rain has led to city-wide flooding and in some cases death.

Following a Game 4 win over the Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors center Draymond Green was asked in a post-game interview about if the win had anything to do with the Houston floods. It wasn’t the first time the reporter had asked Green this question, according to Green’s answer, where he laid into the reporter for trying to make a tragic situation similar to that of a basketball game.

The reporter was apparently fired for the incident after the game, per Henry Wofford of CSN Bay Area.

The reporter was apparently a first-year reporter out of China. It’s an unfortunate situation, but probably not a question that should have been asked.
