Manhattan pulls away from Quinnipiac for 95-74 win

RIVERDALE, N.Y. (AP) — Zane Waterman scored 26 points, Calvin Crawford added 22 more and Manhattan rolled to a 95-74 win over Quinnipiac on Sunday night.

Aaron Walker Jr. got 20 points and Zavier Turner had 10 as Manhattan pulled away with 60 percent shooting over the final 20 minutes. Waterman was 8 for 13 overall and had seven rebounds, while Crawford finished with four 3-pointers and six boards.

Quinnipiac slashed an 11-point deficit in the second half with a 15-5 run that included a 3-pointer from Mikey Dixon to trail 63-62 with 9:35 to play.

But the Jaspers (10-19, 5-13 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) responded with an 18-4 run capped by a layup from Walker to stretch the advantage to 81-66 and led by double figures the rest of the way.

Chaise Daniels paced Quinnipiac (10-18, 7-11) with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Dixon finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds, Abdulai Bundu also had 13 points and Reggie Oliver had 11.
