Florida Tech downs Presbyterian 28-7 behind Cato

CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Mark Cato passed for two touchdowns and 357 yards, including an 82-yard scoring strike to Kenny Johnston, and Division II Florida Tech beat Presbyterian 28-7 on Saturday.

Jo Jackson intercepted a pass by Will Brock and returned it 83 yards for the Panthers' final score.

Trevor Sand's 1-yard TD run capped Florida Tech's opening drive and Cato hit Antwuan Haynes on a 39-yard TD for a 14-0 halftime lead.

Cato completed 19 of 32 passes but was intercepted twice. Haynes caught seven passes for 119 yards and Johnston caught two for 106 yards. Wayne Saunders had five catches for 84 yards for Florida Tech (3-0).

Brock finished 28 of 52 for 275 yards passing for Presbyterian (1-3), with a 10-yard TD pass to DarQuez Watson. DaShawn Davis caught 12 passes for 129 yards. John Walker was 6 of 11 for 55 yards passing, including a first-quarter interception by Jackson.
