GAINESVILE, Fla. (AP) — Florida forward Keith Stone will have season-ending surgery after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee at Georgia. The Gators announced the news one day after their 62-52 victory and after Stone underwent further testing. The 6-foot-8 junior averaged 6.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 17 games this season.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Missouri coach Robin Pingeton and South Carolina's Dawn Staley say they want the focus of Monday's night game solely on the court. That seems impossible given the fiery aftermath of the last meeting between these women's basketball programs a year ago. An on-court-incident led to Tigers' players saying they were spit on and heard racial insults from the South Carolina crowd. Staley sued Missouri athletic director Jim Sterk for defamation and the parties settled with Staley receiving $50,000.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Six teams in the top 10 of the AP Top 25 lost in the past week to set the stage for significant movement in the next college basketball poll. The list includes top-ranked Duke falling to Syracuse, while No. 2 Michigan and No. 4 Virginia suffered their first losses of the season. Third-ranked Tennessee won two games and has a chance to take over at No. 1 for the first time since 2008.
