LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers and the Brewers don't have much time to rest after last night's 13-inning battle in Los Angeles. Clayton Kershaw starts Game 5 this afternoon, in what could conceivably be his final outing in a Los Angeles Dodgers uniform. Wade Miley pitches for Milwaukee on three days' rest.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Milwaukee is expected to add a new arm for the rest of the NLCS after starter Gio Gonzalez left Game 4 in the second inning with a high ankle sprain. HOUSTON (AP) — Houston hopes Charlie Morton won't be too rusty when he makes his 2018 playoff debut in Game 4 of the AL Championship Series against Boston. Morton spent time on the disabled list late in the year with shoulder discomfort and hasn't pitched since the regular-season finale Sept. 30. Rick Porcello starts for the Red Sox after appearing in relief in Game 2. Boston leads the series 2-1 after a grand slam by Jackie Bradley Jr. broke open an 8-2 victory in Game 3.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Golden State Warriors opened their NBA title defense by getting 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists from Stephen Curry in a 108-100 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Curry shot 5-for-9 from 3-point range and Kevin Durant contributed 27 points and eight boards to the win. Dennis Schroder (SHROO'-dur) had 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists in his Thunder debut.
