INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — USA Track and Field has extended its partnership with Nike through 2040 to outfit teams and sponsor national championships.

The new deal was announced Wednesday by USATF. Max Siegel, the CEO for track's national governing body, says this is a "game-changer for the sport and what USATF will be able to offer all of our constituents."

USATF said the organization doesn't disclose terms of contracts. Nike has played a role in designing the track uniforms worn by Team USA for the last six Olympics.

The partnership also includes Nike sponsoring the U.S. indoor and outdoor championships.

Nike CEO and President Mark Parker says the company is "extremely proud to extend our partnership and commitment to the sport."
