RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno Aces center fielder Todd Glaesmann has been named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week after hitting .586 with 12 extra-base hits over the seven-game span.
Glaesmann had nine doubles, three home runs and eight RBI for the week for the Arizona Diamondbacks' Triple A minor league squad.
He became the first PCL player in the last 10 years to record nine doubles in a single week. He was 17-of-29 at the plate.
It's the fourth time this season an Aces player has earned league player of the week honors. Jamie Romak did it twice and Nick Evans once.
