NEW YORK (AP) — The United States' scoreless draw with Sweden has drawn the biggest television audience for a Women's World Cup group stage match and the fourth-largest for any game in the tournament.

The 0-0 tie Friday night averaged 4.5 million viewers on Fox. The Americans' opener had set the previous high Monday with 3.3 million viewers on Fox Sports 1.

Fox said Saturday that the only previous Women's World Cup matches to draw larger audiences were the 1999 and 2011 finals, and a 1999 semifinal.

The viewership was more than double the 1.9 million for the second U.S. game in 2011, which started just before noon in the Eastern time zone on a Saturday with the tournament in Germany. Friday's match in Winnipeg was in prime time.
