SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Republican U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers has raised more than $3.7 million for her re-election campaign, but Democratic challenger Lisa Brown continues to raise more money than any previous challenger to the 14-year incumbent.
McMorris Rodgers, a member of House leadership, has spent $2 million and had $1.7 million left in the bank, according to the latest quarterly reports filed with the Federal Election Commission for the period that ended June 30.
Brown has raised a total of $2.1 million, spent $1.1 million and had just over $1 million to spend during the stretch run for the 5th District House seat representing the eastern third of Washington.
