Pistons announce promotions, new hires

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Pistons have promoted Pat Garrity, Adam Glessner and J.R. Holden to senior leadership positions.

Garrity is now an associate general manager, Glessner is director of player personnel and Holden is director of international scouting. Detroit also announced other promotions Friday, including Jorge Costa to director of research and technology, Aaron Gray to assistant coach, Ryan Winters to scout, Jordan Sabourin to head strength coach, T.J. Saint to head video coordinator and Jordan Brink to assistant video coordinator.

Detroit also hired Aaron Blackshear as analytics systems coordinator and Louis Thompson as assistant strength and conditioning coach. Quentin Richardson transitions from director of player development to pro scout.

Detroit added Courtney Havens-Mitchell (head athletic trainer) and Evarist Akujobi (strength and conditioning coach) to its D-League affiliate in Grand Rapids.
