ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders have placed cornerback DJ Hayden on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
Oakland promoted defensive lineman Branden Jackson from the practice squad Saturday to take Hayden's place on the active roster.
Hayden was injured on the second play in the fourth quarter of last week's win against the Carolina Panthers and did not return.
Jackson originally signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in May after impressing the team at a tryout at rookie minicamp. He provides depth with defensive tackles Stacy McGee and Darius Latham out this week with ankle injuries.
