NEW YORK (AP) — NFL security chief Jeffrey Miller is leaving the league for the private sector.
Miller, who has overseen numerous league investigations, will remain with the NFL through its May owners' meetings and a training session.
Miller was the Pennsylvania state police commissioner before he joined the NFL in 2008. He was heavily involved in all NFL security issues, including the Saints' bounty case and the Ray Rice investigation.
He was responsible for game-day security at all stadiums, plus security at the Super Bowl, international games, and the draft.
The league also announced that Mike Kensil is now the vice president of international game operations.
