EDINBURG, Texas — Conner Toolson scored a season-high 23 points with three steals, and Utah Valley moved to 4-0 in Western Athletic Conference play with an 84-76 win Thursday night at UT Rio Grande Valley.
Kenneth Ogbe added 17 points and six rebounds for the Wolverines (15-5, 4-0), and Akolda Manyang supplied 15 points and 12 rebounds.
UVU held the Vaqueros (10-10, 2-2 WAC) to just 39.4 percent shooting, including a 6-of-21 mark from 3-point range.
Nick Dixon led UTRGV with 26 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
Utah Valley travels to WAC-leading New Mexico State on Saturday.
