SALT LAKE CITY — Three more fun stories from the world of sports in today's From Left Field!
1. Richard Sherman has his Halloween costume
Richard Sherman, the Seahawks' all cornerback, spoke in a press conference Wednesday afternoon, as he does regularly. But this time, and for this season, he dressed in in full Harry Potter garb, and even played the music as he was walking up to the podium.
Sherman says he dressed up as a member of Gryffindor for Halloween because his son asked him to. He also compared his upcoming football game to a Quidditch match, which is accurate.
2. Juggling gum
You've probably seen soccer players do some amazing juggling tricks with the ball. But have you seen them use those same skills on a piece of gum? That's what 18-year-old Felix Passlack of Borussia Dortmund did this week:
Hey, those are some skills! I also like how he looks around, waiting to see if someone noticed his gross juggling talent.
3. Gerald Green's shamrock hair
Gerald Green is back with the Boston Celtics, the team that drafted him way back in 2005. Of course, that's been a partnership that should work well on paper, what with his last name being Green and all.
But Green took the connection to the next level with this hairstyle for opening day, which he said took an hour and a half to prepare.
Green had nine points off the bench in a Celtics win over the Nets.
