WSU players show support for head coach’s wife after cancer diagnosis
Sara Hill, the wife of Weber State head coach Jay Hill, began chemotherapy this week after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this month, and the Wildcat football team found a way to support her during her fight.
According to a family blog, Sara Hill was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma on Aug. 9 after months of testing.
A video posted by Courtney Wilson Tuesday, and shared by the Weber State football program on Thursday, showed a get-together of family and friends where family members, friends and members of the team shaved their heads in support of Sara Hill before she began her chemotherapy treatment Wednesday.

“I'm not worried about my hair being gone, I will channel my inner G.I. Jane BUT I did NOT want to be in my bathroom by myself shaving it all off. So I asked them for a party. Last night was perfect!! The love and support I felt was AMAZING!!,” Sara Hill said in a Facebook post Wednesday.
Jay Hill is heading into his third year as the Wildcats’ head coach after spending time as an assistant coach at the University of Utah. Weber State kicks off its 2016 season on Sept. 1 at Utah State.
Fan not thrilled to be in Bolt’s selfie
The Olympics have produced some of the best frowns throughout the years. There’s the unforgettable unimpressed McKayla Maroney from 2012, and of course Michael Phelps’ scowl earlier in the Olympics.
On Thursday, the Olympics produced another memorable unhappy moment.
After Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt claimed his third-straight Olympic gold medal in the 200 meters (no other runner has ever won the event more than once), Bolt celebrated and eventually took a selfie in the crowd.
While many of those in the throng were excited in the moment, one fan in particular was not as thrilled.

As the spectators squeezed in to make it into the photo, this fan appears to be pushed away from her seat, which could make anyone upset. Either way, it ended up as yet another grumpy meme in Olympic history.
Kicker misses game after getting hit by football
There have been some odd injuries in the world of sports, and Philadelphia Eagles kicker Caleb Sturgis added to that Thursday.
According to various media outlets, Sturgis was out on the field during warmups before the Eagles played Pittsburgh in a preseason matchup when an errant punt hit him in the head.
Sturgis was diagnosed with a concussion and missed the game.

The strange mishap could be costly for Sturgis, too. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Sturgis entered this week as the team’s top kicker on the depth chart, ahead of Cody Parkey. Parkey ended up taking all the kicking duties Thursday and performed well with a 40-year field goal and two extra point attempts in the team’s 17-0 win over the Steelers.
The Eagles signed Sturgis after an injury ended Parkey’s season early last season.
