SALT LAKE CITY — Three fun stories from the world of sports in today's From Left Field!

1. Bryce Harper takes secret selfie with Bryce Harper fan

Bryce Harper visited the National Museum of Natural History yesterday when he found a fan with a Bryce Harper shirt. Naturally, he took a selfie with the child... though without the kid knowing it.

Harper didn't say what happened next. Did he introduce himself? Did the kid ever recognize him? We don't know!

2. Defending champion Chicago Blackhawks lose in Game 7 by slimmest margins possible

The Blackhawks were down 3-2 with just a few minutes left in their game 7 against the St. Louis Blues last night, when this shot from Brent Seabrook hit both posts (!) before leaving the crease, not going into the net.

What are the odds?

3. DeAndre Jordan airballs back-to-back free throws

Okay, so usually, I'm a defender of players who miss free throws. After all, none of us have had the experience of going up to the line with 20,000 screaming fans begging us to miss in a playoff game.

But back-to-back airballs? Well, I think most of us would at least draw iron in that situation. DeAndre Jordan, last night in their game 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers, did not.

The Clippers are in trouble: their series is tied at 2-2, and Chris Paul fractured his hand. Game 5 is on Wednesday.
