OREM — Utah Valley is 12-15 and 6-6 in WAC play under first-year head coach Mark Pope.
With the former BYU assistant on the mic, the Wolverines pulled off a thrilling last-second win on a buzzer-beating shot against Chicago State. Two nights later, the Wolverines rallied from 20-points down to beat UMKC.
Enjoying the highs — and the lows — is all a part of the new job description for Pope.
"It's fun because you get to be the final decision," he said. "But it's challenging because you get blamed for everything.
"It's a lot different job. There are a lot more pieces to manage. But this challenge that we have here right now is so exhibilarating, because I can see exactly where we are going. And I have very little doubt."
