SALT LAKE CITY — Utah locked in its first South division title since joining the Pac-12. The North will be decided between the Washington schools in the Apple Cup.

The California-Stanford game was postponed due to poor air quality from the wildfires in Northern California. The rivalry game has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1 at California Memorial Stadium.

Here’s a look at how the Pac-12 performed in week 12.

Arizona (5-6, 4-4 Pac-12) at No. 8 Washington State (10-1, 7-1)

Score: Washington State 69, Arizona 28

Game recap: Led by quarterback Gardner Minshew, Washington State rolled to a 55-14 halftime lead. The Cougars were helped by Arizona’s six penalties and three turnovers in the first half. By the time the teams returned to the field in the third quarter, the Cougars’ lead was too much for the Wildcats to recover.

Key stat: Minshew threw a school-record seven touchdowns.

Conference implication: Washington State sits on 10 wins this season, tying a program best that was last achieved in 2003. It was the Cougars’ 13th-straight home game win with a season-high 69 points. Washington State must beat rival Washington in the Apple Cup to win the North. As the conference’s best chance at a College Football Playoff berth, the Cougars need to win the Pac-12 for the longshot bid.

Arizona needs one more win to become bowl eligible. As leaders in the league with an average 206 rushing yards per game, the Wildcats can’t afford to stall like they did against Washington State’s stout defense.

Next opponent: Washington State hosts Washington on Friday. Arizona hosts Arizona State on Saturday.

Arizona State (6-5, 4-4) at Oregon (7-4, 4-4)

Score: Oregon 31, Arizona State 29

Game recap: Oregon built a 28-13 halftime lead, making for a comfortable advantage. Arizona State, seeking a win to stay alive for a chance in the Pac-12 championship game, scored a touchdown with 11 minutes left in the game to cut the Ducks’ lead to 28-23. Oregon responded with a field goal, but the Sun Devils scored another touchdown with a failed two-point conversion. Ducks quarterback Justin Herbert was intercepted on a tipped pass, but on the ensuing drive the Sun Devils fumbled and Oregon recovered to secure the win.

Key stat: Herbert threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns.

Conference implication: Oregon came into the game losing three of their previous four games. The team wanted to send out its seniors on a high note with a win on senior night and the Ducks did just that.

Arizona State needed to win its last two games to go to the conference championship. With Utah defeating Colorado earlier in the day, a loss meant the Sun Devils couldn’t catch up to the Utes with just one game left. Instead, the Sun Devils will have to suffice with a bowl game and a winning season with first-year head coach Herm Edwards.

Next opponent: Oregon travels to Oregon State on Friday. Arizona State travels to Arizona on Saturday.

Colorado (5-6, 2-6) vs No. 19 Utah (8-3, 6-3)

Score: Utah 30, Colorado 7

Game recap: After a slow start in snowy conditions, Utah managed to regroup and build a lead to win. The score was even at halftime before the Utes scored 23 unanswered points with the help of a dominating defense that was too much for Colorado.

Key stat: Utah held Colorado to 196 total yards of offense and finished with 16 tackles for loss and six sacks.

Conference implication: Utah had to win this game to keep its hopes of a division title alive. The Utes also needed Arizona State to lose one of it’s last two games. Oregon did Utah a favor with a win over Arizona State and Utah secured its first South title. Strong depth is showing for the Utes as they’ve played with their backup quarterback and running back. They were also forced to play without star linebacker Chase Hansen after a questionable targeting call ejected him in the first quarter. His replacement, Francis Bernard, led the team with 10 tackles.

Colorado started 5-0, then descended from first to last place in the division with six-straight losses. The Buffs head coach Mike MacIntyre has been fired while the team seeks to win its last game of the season to become bowl eligible.

Next opponent: Utah hosts BYU on Saturday. Colorado travels to California on Saturday.

Oregon State (2-9, 1-7) at No. 18 Washington (8-3, 6-2)

Score: Washington 42, Oregon State 23

Game recap: Washington jumped to an early 28-3 lead thanks to two first quarter touchdowns by quarterback Jake Browning. The domination let the Huskies coast through the remaining three quarters and sail to another win.

Key stat: Washington running back Myles Gaskin rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown. He’s 94 rushing yards away from becoming the first player in the Pac-12 with four 1,000-yard seasons.

Conference implication: Washington had a couple of mistakes — such as an onside kick recovered by Oregon State and a blocked punt — that can be costly against Washington State. It’s a must-win scenario for the Huskies in the Apple Cup if they want to advance to the conference championship.

Next opponent: Washington travels to Washington State on Friday. Oregon State hosts Oregon on Friday.

USC (5-6, 4-5) at UCLA 3-8, 3-5)

Score: UCLA 34, USC 27

Game recap: The game was close throughout, even in the fourth quarter. It was UCLA running back Joshua Kelley who helped separate the Bruins with a 55-yard touchdown with 10:39 left in the game to give UCLA a 28-27 lead. The Bruins added two field goals to extend their lead while USC quarterback JT Daniels got the Trojans to the UCLA 29-yard line, but his fourth-down pass was incomplete with 32 seconds.

Key stat: Kelley rushed for 289 yards — the third-most in UCLA history — on 40 carries for two touchdowns.

Conference implication: Neither team is bowl eligible after a less-than satisfactory season.

Next opponent: UCLA host Stanford on Saturday. USC hosts Notre Dame on Saturday.
