JOPPA, Md. (AP) — The Latest on a funeral for a Maryland police officer (all times local):

2:40 p.m.

Slain Maryland police Officer Amy Caprio is being laid to rest.

Her funeral procession included a stream of police vehicles with flashing lights. Two firetrucks held an American flag above the road at one point on the route. Spectators lined a bridge overlooking a part of the procession's route from a church in Joppa to the burial site in Timonium.

News outlets report that officers from across Maryland and neighboring states attended the fallen officer's funeral. Bagpipes and drums played as Caprio's flag-draped casket was carried ot of the church toward the hearse.

The 29-year-old Caprio had served on the force for nearly four years. She died Monday after being hit by a Jeep while responding to a call in Perry Hall. Sixteen-year-old Dawnta Anthony Harris has been charged with first-degree murder in her death.

Rows of police officers have lined up outside a Maryland church before filing in for the funeral of Baltimore County Officer Amy Caprio.

Some attendees bore flags as they honored the slain officer Friday.

Caprio was run over by a Jeep while investigating a burglary Monday at a house in Perry Hall. Four teenagers have been charged with murder.

After the funeral, a procession will lead mourners from the church in Joppa to the burial site in Timonium.

The governor of Maryland, the Baltimore County police chief and the mother of a 29-year-old officer killed in the line of duty will speak at her funeral.

Amy Caprio was run over by a Jeep while investigating a burglary Monday at a house in Perry Hall. Four teenagers are charged with murder.

Her funeral service is being held Friday morning at Mountain Christian Church in Joppa.

Gov. Larry Hogan and Chief Terrance Sheridan will address the congregation. County police say in a news release that Caprio's mother will offer personal reflections, and four fellow officers will also speak. A Baltimore Symphony Orchestra member will play a trumpet solo.

Caprio will be buried at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium.
