LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Latest on a hostage situation and shooting in Las Vegas (all times local):

2:35 p.m.

Authorities have found nothing dangerous after using bomb experts to search the belongings of a shooting suspect for a possible explosive device.

Las Vegas police said via Twitter that the scene of the Sunday morning shooting no longer posed a potential threat but was closed to the public because of the shooting investigation.

Lt. Dan McGrath says two men got into an argument when one pulled out a gun and opened fire.

The wounded victim was rushed to a hospital but later pronounced dead.

According to McGrath, between 12 and 14 customers and employees were inside at the time.

McGrath says the suspect taken into custody initially blended in with the crowd as people evacuated.

He says a bomb squad searched the suspect's vehicle and a backpack after someone made a comment about a possible explosive device.
