BRUNSWICK, Maine (AP) — A former Harvard Business School faculty member is being formally installed as the 15th president of Maine's Bowdoin College.
Clayton Rose became the school's president over the summer, but his formal inauguration is being held Saturday with speakers including former Senate leader George Mitchell, a Bowdoin alumnus.
Rose wrote and taught about leadership and managerial values at Harvard Business School. Prior to working in academics, he was vice chairman and chief operating officer at J.P. Morgan.
The University of Chicago graduate is originally from California. He succeeds Barry Mills, who stepped down after 14 years leading the private liberal arts college in Brunswick.
