LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a 39-year-old man faces attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon charges after he was accused of shooting his girlfriend's husband during an argument at a southeast Las Vegas home.

Records show that Steven Dell Kesler was being held Tuesday at the Clark County jail following his arrest in the pre-dawn Friday shooting.

Police say the wounded man, 54-year-old David Eckman of Upland, California, was grazed in the head by a bullet.

Eckman was treated at a hospital and was able to tell investigators the shooting happened after he returned from California to find his wife with Kesler.

Kesler told police that Eckman threatened him before the gun discharged.

Eckman's wife, Karen Eckman, was located unharmed at a nearby home.
