LOGAN — College football is back and all BYU, Utah and Utah State were all in action Thursday night. The USU Aggies took on in state for Southern Utah and it was all Utah State.

Chuckie Keeton, Joe Hill and the USU offense started off fast and never let up in the first quarter.

"Joe Hill finished the drive with the 27-yard TD run. 9 plays, 98 yards, 3:44. Can't fault much about the #Aggies so far," tweeted @WikiLogan.

The Aggies continued to make plays in the first and they kept finding the endzone.

"So my Southern Utah Thunderbirds are now getting destroyed 21-0 at Utah State," tweeted @Broncositaly. "But we need to focus on competing in I-AA, USU is way good."

The Aggies and Thunderbirds went into the second quarter at 21-0, and USU's offense looked unstoppable. When the second quarter came around, however, it seemed like the Aggies from the first half were nowhere to be found.

USU's offense couldn't keep up their dominance from the first quarter and SUU seemed to get their feet under them.

"Sorensen finds Brown in flat, he takes ball to USU 3. First and goal. Momentum changer?" tweeted @Tomzsports.

All the momentum SUU picked up was lost when the Aggie defense came up big.

"SUU drive stalls at the USU 5," tweeted T-Bird fan @cwillimsSUU. "Leads to a FG. 21-3 USU. At least it's not a shut out! "

While the USU O couldn't seem to get moving Chuckie Keeton still looked flawless, until a mental mistake showed the Aggie QB is human.

"Grounding call followed by a sack. I guess it couldn't be a completely perfect game for Chuckie," tweeted @efrandsen.

While that may have been a couple of slip ups for Keeton and the offense, they went into halftime leading 21-3 and came back in the second half and never looked back.

While Keeton may be the star of this Aggie team, a new threat emerged Thursday night, Joe Hill.

"With Joe HIll's 2nd career #USU score," tweeted @WikiLogan. "Aggies take commanding 28-3 lead with 11:53 left in 3rd quarter."

Then a few minutes later Hill did it again.

"Joe Hill is quickly becoming a star," wrote @TonyAggieville. "Third touchdown run of the night....conversion fails, USU up 34-3."

With the dominance of the first and third quarters USU brought in second team players to finish out the game and cruise to a 34-3 win in the season opener.

Now the Aggies will prepare to take on in-state rival Utah in Logan Saturday, Sept. 8.
