QUEBEC, Ontario (AP) - Lucie Safarova beat No. 6 seed Marina Erakovic 6-4, 6-3 on Saturday night in the finals of the Bell Challenge, claiming her first WTA Tour title in five years.

The third-seeded Czech, who is ranked 36th in the world and hadn't won a championship since Forest Hills in 2008, earned the fifth WTA title of her career.

"It was just about a few points today, but I was more consistent with my game and more aggressive, and I think that's why I won," Safarova said.
