Teacher Profiles:

Teacher: Mrs. Marina Dunn
School: Valley View Elementary, Pleasant Grove
Mrs. Dunn is a Resource teacher at Valley View Elementary School in Pleasant Grove. Not only is she an AMAZING teacher that has come up with wonderful programs to help children learn to read, but also has a heart of gold and loves her students as if they were her own. She is so patient, kind, loving and positive with the kids. The students leave her classroom each day knowing that they have accomplished something and also that they are truly loved. Mrs. Dunn spends many hours during the summer, on her own time, implementing a summer school program for some of her students to ensure that they don\'t fall behind during the break. She does this at no cost to the students. She could make a good extra side income if she choose to tutor privately during the summer, but she loves her kids and wants to see them succeed and knows that most of them would not be able to attend if there was a cost involved. Resource is such a hard, draining teaching job and it takes a very special person to do it and do it well. I believe Mrs. Dunn exceeds all aspects of being a teacher and would love for her to get recognized for the years of hard work, dedication and love that she has shown to so many students. -Dawn Johnson

Teacher: Zac Zumbrunnen
School: Treasure Mountain, Park City
He is a really nice guy. He taught me so much about life, and of course history. He is a great, hard working family man who loves what he does and never complains!! Mr. Z is just an all around great teacher, and he deserves the best! -Holly Hill

Teacher: Ashlee Hatch
School: Cedar Ridge Elementary, Cedar Hills
Mrs. Hatch not only loves the children she teaches, but continues to love them even after they graduate to other grades. My oldest daughter had her 2 years ago and still continually talks about her and the love she has for her. Just a couple weeks ago, Ashlee Hatch went through a terrible experience. She gave birth to a still born 20 week baby boy, and this was her second baby boy she has lost. Even with this sad time, she didn\'t waste her time getting back to her classroom and the students she loves. She even helped my child through a very tough time at school. I could never imagine another 1st grade teacher for any of my children. All the kids at school, in her class or not, love her. She spends time with them not only in the classroom, but spends recesses outside playing with the kids. She is one of a kind, and we would love her to know how much we appreciate her and all that she does. Thank you Mrs. Hatch for being the kind of teacher that mom's dream of for their children!!! -Kara Hanson
