MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin forward Nigel Hayes will submit his name to the NBA draft advisory committee to determine his future.
Hayes will decide on whether he wants to submit his name for the draft after receiving the recommendation, coach Greg Gard said Tuesday.
The 6-foot-8 Hayes just finished his junior season by scoring a team-high 15.7 points per game. He is known for his inside-out game as well as an offbeat personality.
Hayes fell into a shooting funk in the NCAA tournament, going 9 of 39 from the field and 2 of 15 from 3-point range. Both 3s came in the 61-56 loss in the Sweet 16 to Notre Dame.
Hayes played key roles in Wisconsin's run to the Final Four in his freshman and sophomore seasons.
