HOUSTON (AP) — The long college basketball season comes to an end for the men tonight as Villanova faces North Carolina for the national championship in Houston. The Wildcats advanced from Saturday's semifinals with a lopsided win over Oklahoma while Carolina breezed by Syracuse.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The women's championship game in college basketball is slated to be played tomorrow night with Connecticut playing Syracuse in Indianapolis. The UConn Huskies are gunning for their fourth straight national championship.

NEW YORK (AP) — Bad weather has forced baseball's first postponement of the season. The bad weather is in New York and today's season opener between the Yankees and Astros has been pushed back to Tuesday. It was 40 degrees and drizzling when the game was called.

KANSAS CITY (AP) — The Royals raised their World Series banner last night and then proceeded to beat the team they beat in the Fall Classic, the Mets. Afterward Royals' manager Ned Yost said it felt odd celebrating with the New Yorkers on hand watching the festivities.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — The first major of the year in men's golf is this week. That of course means one thing, The Masters. The world's best golfers are in Augusta, Georgia, checking out the Augusta National course with an eye on round 1 this Thursday.
