SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Golden State visits San Antonio tonight in a battle of NBA heavyweights. The 62-6 Warriors hold a 3 1-2 -game lead over the Spurs for the best record in the league. Golden State put a 30-point beat-down on San Antonio when the two teams played in Oakland in January. The Spurs will be trying to improve on their league-best 34-0 home record.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Yale tries to make it two straight upsets at the NCAA Tournament when it takes on defending national champ Duke today in a second-round game. The 12th-seeded Bulldogs put the bite on fifth-seeded Baylor to start a string of upsets on Thursday. Duke scored a 19-point win at home when the two teams met in November.

DENVER (AP) — Little Rock is riding the high of its upset win over fifth-seed Purdue into its second-round game against Iowa State at the NCAA Tournament. The 30-4 Trojans get a third-seeded Cyclones team led by two-time All-American Georges Niang (nee-ANG'). The 6-foot-8, 230-pounder is the only player in the country averaging 20 points and six boards while shooting 50 percent from the field and 80 percent from the line.

UNDATED (AP) — Dallas holds a two-point lead over St. Louis at the top of the NHL's Central Division and both teams are in action tonight. The Stars take the home ice against the Islanders, while St. Louis will be trying to end a two-game losing streak when they visit Vancouver.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Jason Day heads into today's third round holding a two-shot lead over Henrik Stenson at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Justin Rose is three shots back. The three will be playing in the same group because tournament officials have moved up the tee times hoping to avoid threatening weather.
