OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Golden State Warriors won their 49th straight regular season home game by routing New Orleans 125-107. Stephen (STEH'-fihn) Curry scored 27 on his 28th birthday. The Warriors are now 60-6, including a 31-0 home mark this season.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Jazz spoiled Cleveland's attempt for a 4-0 road trip by beating the Cavaliers 94-85 last night despite 23 points and 12 rebounds by LeBron James. Rodney Hood led all scorers with 28 for the Jazz.

DAYTON, Ohio (AP)_The NCAA's men basketball tournament gets under way tonight with a doubleheader in Dayton, site of the first two "First Four" games. Florida Gulf Coast plays Fairleigh Dickinson with the winner advancing to play East top seed North Carolina on Thursday. That's followed by Vanderbilt-Wichita State, with the winner playing Arizona Thursday night in the South region.

NEW YORK (AP)— As expected, the 32-0 Connecticut women's team are No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA women's tournament that begins this weekend. The other No. 1 seeds are South Carolina, Notre Dame and Baylor.

WASHINGTON (AP)— For the first time, an NFL executive has acknowledged a link between football-related head trauma and the brain disease CTE. Testifying before a congressional committee yesterday, NFL executive Jeff Miller said "certainly" there was a link. The NFL has not previously linked playing football to CTE directly.
