BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Drew Urquhart scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Wednesday night, leading Vermont to an 86-41 win over Southern Vermont.

Hector Harold, Cam Ward and Trae Bell-Haynes also scored 12 apiece and Kurt Steidl added 10 for Vermont (2-1).

The Catamounts opened the game with a 15-3 run and, after a jumper by Nate Goldsmith cut Southern Vermont's deficit to single digits, Vermont put the game out of reach with a 16-2 spurt which made it 33-11 with 4:06 left in the half.

Dre Wills and Ward both had at least as many assists (five and four, respectively) as Southern Vermont (four).

Vermont held a 48-23 rebounding edge and made 34 of 57 (59.6 percent) field goals, including 8 of 15 from 3-point range.

Southern Vermont, a Division III school, converted just 30.9 percent of its 55 field goals and shot 16.7 percent behind the arc.
