CINCINNATI (AP) — The Reds put right-hander Tim Adleman on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique Friday, leaving Cincinnati with six starters sidelined by injuries.

Adleman injured his side on a pitch during the fourth inning of a 7-2 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Thursday night, the Reds' eighth loss in nine games.

Outfielder Steve Selsky was called up from Triple-A Louisville to fill his spot for a few days. Reliever Drew Hayes was designated for assignment.

Only two Reds starters have lasted seven innings this season, putting a load on the major leagues' worst bullpen. Adleman joins starters Homer Bailey, Raisel Iglesias, Anthony DeSclafani, Jon Moscot and Michael Lorenzen on the disabled list. DeScalafani could start a rehab stint next week.
