SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah assistant coaches Sharrieff Shah and Justin Ena are the new co-special teams coordinators for the Utes.

Coach Kyle Whittingham announced the next step in the reorganization of his staff Thursday.

Shah has coached the Utah cornerbacks for four seasons and Ena coached the linebackers in his first season with the team in 2015. Shah will coach the return teams and Ena will be in charge of the coverage teams.

Both will continue to coach their position groups.

Former special teams coordinator Morgan Scalley was promoted to defensive coordinator this week. Whittingham still has to name a recruiting coordinator, a position previously held by Scalley.
