LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. (AP) — Second Summer rallied from last to win the $50,690 feature by 1 1/4 lengths Sunday at Los Alamitos.

Ridden by Mario Gutierrez, Second Summer ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:41.57 and paid $8, $4.80 and $3.60 as the 3-1 second choice in the field of seven.

Baccelo returned $9.40 and $5.20, while Midnight Hawk was another three lengths back in third and paid $3.80 to show. Whiskey Ticket, the 11-10 favorite, finished fourth.

Second Summer increased his career earnings to $150,610, with three victories in 12 starts.

Martin Pedroza rode his 86th career winner at Los Alamitos, tying Frank Olivares as the Orange County track's leading rider. Pedroza's total includes county fair meets from 1977-91. He has a chance to take sole possession of the title when racing resumes Thursday, riding five races on the card.
