LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Brothers Ricky and Jordan Taylor won the Tequila Patron Sports Car Showcase at Long Beach on Sunday for their first victory of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season.
"It's a so great to win at Long Beach," Ricky Taylor said. "What an atmosphere, what an event."
The Taylors, driving the No. 10 Corvette DP for father Wayne Taylor, started from the pole and held off the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Ford Riley DP driven by Scott Pruett and Joey Hand.
The winners completed 78 laps on the 1.968-mile street course in the 1-hour, 40-minute race.
Richard Westbrook and Michael Valiante were third in the No. 90 VisitFlorida.com Racing Corvette DP.
Bill Auberlen and Dirk Werner won the GT Le Mans class in the No. 25 BMW Team RLL Z4 GTLM.
