HAVANA, Cuba (AP) — President Obama is at the Tampa Bay-Cuban national team baseball game in Havana. At one point the first family took part in a wave as fans took their turns standing. This is the first game in Cuba since 1999 between a U.S. major league team and a team from Cuba.

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida, NFL owners have approved some rules changes. The biggest involves the chop block which has been entirely outlawed from future NFL games. The owners also confirmed that extra-point kicks snapped from the 15-yard line are now permanent.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The class of 2016 for the collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame has been announced. The group includes some well-known names from recent years, Georgia standout Dominique Wilkins, Doug Collins of Illinois State, DePaul's Mark Aguirre, LaSalle's Lionel Simmons, Bob Boozer of Kansas State and UCLA's Jamaal Wilkes. Two coaches are also part of the class of '16, Hugh Durham and Mike Montgomery.

DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Avalanche have lost their top two scorers as Matt Duchene (DOO'-shayn) and Nathan MacKinnon have knee injuries. The club reports they will miss the next two games against the Flyers and Wild.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Jamie Dixon has been introduced as the new head basketball coach at TCU. Dixon is leaving Pittsburgh after 13 seasons to take over at the school where he played his college ball. He led the Pitt Panthers to the NCAA Tournament in 11 of those 13 seasons.
