JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Beau Beech scored 16 points and he and Trent Mackey both had four 3-pointers Friday night as North Florida defeated city rival Jacksonville 77-50 in the River City Rumble.

Demarcus Daniels had 14 points, Mackey 12, Dallas Moore 11 and Chris Davenport 10 for the Ospreys (15-10, 7-1 Atlantic Sun), who stayed atop the league with their best start in program history.

Kori Babineaux had 23 points for Jacksonville (7-18, 1-7) with Marcellous Bell adding 13.

The Dolphins shot 50 percent but only made 3 of 12 3-pointers while North Florida, which shot 52 percent, was 12 of 27 behind the arc. And, with Davenport grabbing eight rebounds, North Florida used a 30-19 advantage on the boards to get up 10 more shots. The Osprey also made 13 of 14 free throws and had just six turnovers.

North Florida led 35-24 at the half and by 20 barely five minutes into the second half.
