HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Gregg Deichmann hit a tying homer in the bottom of the ninth and Kramer Robertson singled home the winning run to lift LSU to a 5-4 victory over Tennessee on Tuesday night in the Southeastern Conference tournament.

LSU (40-17) moves on to meet defending champion Florida on Wednesday night. Tennessee (29-28) is eliminated and is 0-5 in the tournament since 2007.

Deichmann led off with a homer and the Tigers loaded the bases with one out for Robertson, who brought home pinch-runner Brennan Breaux.

The Tigers had started a rally from a 4-0 deficit with three runs in the seventh before left fielder Vincent Jackson threw out Antoine Duplantis at home. Deichmann also had an RBI double.

Hunter Newman (1-0) picked up his first win with two scoreless innings.

Will Neely allowed one run in six-plus innings for the Volunteers.
